Climbing In Pembrokeshire

Whether you are hiring one of our Lavuu expedition tents for a group tent of experiencing one of our tent glamping solutions in Pembrokeshire and are a climber or looking to try climbing whilst you here, with one of the centres you will not be disappointed.  Although renowned for big grade climbs Pembrokeshire’s cliffs and crags have plenty to offer climbers of all grades with a plethora of walls to places to go it’s a great place to grab a guide book and head off to. Pembrokeshire has a total of 138 crags to choose from so whatever you level you are sure to find a crag to suit you, and with so many to choose from you could be holidaying here for some time to bag them all. Some of Pembrokeshire’s most popular and larger climbing areas include:-

Carreg-y-Barcud has some 70 climbs on a southerly facing compact sandstone crag mainly slabby routes up to 100ft.

Saddle head which boasts 50 climbs on westerly facing limestone, single and multi-pitches up to 180ft popular for first time lower grade climbers for its easy access and routes, has one of the best VS routes in the UK Blue Sky

St. Govan's Head a staggering 156 climbs on south west facing limestone

St. Govan's East  has 54 climbs on a south east limestone face, single and multi-pitched routes up to 210ft some of the longest in Pembrokeshire, though most are 100ft

Bulliber (Range West) has a staggering 150 climbs on south facing limestone, restricted MOD and bird access though see link below and BMC
